Strong Hands

Challenge Strong-Hands design and features

When fitted to a compatible front-end loader, telehandler, skid-steer machine or compact-track loader, the recently updated Challenge Strong-Hands is designed for the strong (yet gentle) handling of four or five foot round-wrapped silage bales or round hay bales. The smooth, profiled hands protect bale integrity, gently re-shaping the bale to prevent slippage and reduce damage to the bale wrap. The enclosed chassis contains the equalizer bar and hydraulics, providing great frontal protection yet with easy maintenance via the rear access cut-away. Other Strong-Hands features include:

  • Narrow, slimline chassis design reduces weight and the risk of damage to surrounding bales when pushing into a stack
  • Easily adjustable bale stop to suit four or five foot bales
  • Accurate arm centering from an internally housed equalizer bar with engineered float for perfect bale alignment every time
  • Adjustable breakaway hoses to suit various host machines
  • AUS, EURO, JCB, Manitou and skid-steer hitches available

Hydraulic third function required…

The Challenge Strong-Hands silage grab requires a third hydraulic control circuit to activate the grab portion of the attachment; this third function feature comes standard with the Challenge Sixty1 and CLXâ„¢ series front-end loaders.
